We’ve recently added a new feature to the Psi4 Forums: the Solved plugin. When you create a topic, you can now mark a post as solving your issue. The option is available in the bottom right of posts, just to the left of the “like” heart. This will help forumgoers know when a topic is solved and when it needs more attention, and it allows other users to quickly get to the post that solved the issue.
Along with this, we’re implementing a couple minor changes for organization:
- Topics will now close 60 days after they’ve been solved. If it turns out that the solved answer doesn’t actually solve the problem, you can open discussion back up. After the 60 day mark, you’d be better off making a new topic.
- We’re going to start being more liberal with renaming topics to mention the specific issue to be solved. This will make it even easier for users to filter out which topics are relevant and which aren’t.
We hope that these changes will make it a little less painful when you run into problems with Psi.
Feel free to post here with feedback on the change, or with coffee/beer, depending on your output files.
